Act on a CQC regulatory alert
Read a regulator alert, see which of your own policies it affects, create a review task, and mark it actioned. Covers CQC, HSE, ICO and DHSC updates.
We're recording this one. The written walkthrough below covers every step.
What you will do
Open a regulatory alert, find the policies of yours it affects, and track the fix through to done.
Why this page exists
Watching CQC, HSE, ICO and DHSC for changes is a job nobody has time for. HeroDocs watches them, then matches each update to the documents in your own library.
Read an alert
Select Alerts in the sidebar. The badge shows how many you have not read.
Four counts run across the top: New, Critical, This week and Actioned. Each one is also a filter, so select Critical to see only what needs attention, and select it again to clear.
Open an alert and you get:
Summary, the change in plain English, so you do not have to read the original guidance first.
In your library, the policies of yours that this alert affects, by name. Select one and the editor opens on the right document.
Consider creating, suggestions when you have no policy covering it. A blue chip means a master policy already exists in the Global Library. A plain chip is a suggested name for a new draft.
Recommended action, what to actually do, with the deadline, what it affects, and the regulations it maps to.
View source, the regulator's own page when you want the full text.
Turn it into tracked work
Select Create review task. Link it to the policy, set a Due Date, and write a note about what to check, for example which section needs new referral wording.
All your tasks sit on the Review Tasks page, with an open count and an overdue count so nothing slips. Each task keeps a link back to the alert it came from.
When the edit is finished, select Mark as Done on the task, then Mark as actioned on the alert itself. That is your record that you saw the change and dealt with it.
